I started watching Emily in Paris with my family not too long ago. We were late to the game, so we had all five seasons to watch together. Emily is a marketing executive who was transferred to Paris from an American firm, knowing no French. So, for most of the show, we get to watch her improve her (poor) French while getting to know the City of Paris. This is through her firm with her coworkers, where she gets to spend time with the French socialites and earn their friendship and respect through her fresh, young, American ideas. Of course, it is not Paris without romance; she meets plenty of handsome men and dates a handful of them, which we thought was “good for her!” One particular man who will show up time and time again is her French chef neighbor Gabriel. He is honestly our favorite, and you will also understand if or when you watch the show! It has a flair for the dramatic, as you will find in the rom/com genre. I absolutely recommend this show for anyone looking for something to watch, and we can’t wait for season 6!
